Andrey Gonçalves is an Illinois transplant Brazilian musician. His compositions celebrate his vocabulary diversity by code-switching and combining music styles he grew up listening to. Born in 1980 in Vitória (Brazil), Andrey started on guitar at the age of 5 and moved to the electric bass at 12. His main inspirations are Jaco Pastorius, Ray Brown, Geddy Lee, and Avishai Cohen.
